a mysterious individual known only as The Employer invited a group of twenty people to a desolate location at the end of a town in the Nevada desert. Upon arriving, it became clear they had been lured to play a deadly game by a powerful man to whom they all owed a debt.

The few who survived were never heard from again with the only evidence of this event being the last written words of a vanished player: "believe nothing you hear and only half that you see".
